Uniform Droplet Generation Using the PneuWave and PeriWave


Uniform Droplet Generation with a T-Junction Microchip

The PneuWave and PeriWave pumps are operated in-conjunction to generate hydrocarbon droplets in water inside of a T-junction glass chip.  The water immiscible hydrocarbon is injected into the flowing stream of water where it is sheered into droplets.  The pumps are connected to the microchip with CorSolutions' connectors.  The pulseless, accurate and repeatable PneuWave and PeriWave pumps are able to generate uniform droplets as shown in the movie to the left.


Uniform Droplet Generation with a Focused-Flow Microchip

The PneuWave and PeriWave pumps are operated in-conjunction to generate hydrocarbon droplets in water inside of a focus-flow glass chip.  The water immiscible hydrocarbon is focussed using a shealth flow to create droplets.  The pumps are connected to the microchip with CorSolutions' connectors.  The pulseless, accurate and repeatable PneuWave and PeriWave pumps are able to generate uniform droplets as shown in the movie to the left.
